Vaaleanpunaiset mokkasiinit, tykästyin niihin toissakeväänä päätäpahkaa Stockalla ja kävin pelastamassa ne kotiin heti alejen alettua. Popot ovat jalassa niin pehmoiset ja väri mitä hellyyttävin, joten kuvittelin käyttäväni niitä todella ahkeraan. Kuten kyllä kuvittelen jokaisesta ostoksestani. Söpöläiset jäivät kuitenkin harmikseni silloin aika vähälle käytölle, mutta syyskuun lämpiminä päivinä tuntui kuin olisin löytänyt ne uudelleen. Nämäkin kuvat ovat muuten sieltä syyskuulta, juuri ennen säiden viilenemistä, ja unohtuneet luonnoksiin odottelemaan pikkukenkäkelien paluuta. Nyt vaan tuntui olevan korkea aika luopua siitä toivosta ja laittaa kuvat kehiin...
Tämän asun lähtökohtana toimivat siis vaaleanpunaiset mokkasiinit, yhtenä aamuna vaan tuli selkeä visio niistä yhdistettynä vahapintaisin farkkuihin sekä johonkin viininpunaiseen. Särmikkäissä farkuissa ja hempeissä mokkasiineissa on juuri sitä kontrastia mikä viehättää minua. Viininpunaisen virkaa hoiti uusi laukkuni, jonka ostin heinäkuussa ASOSin alennusmyynnistä. Laukku oli kiikkunut siellä ASOSin tallennettujen tuotteideni listalla piiiitkään, ja vielä pidempään olin haaveillut viininpunaisesta laukusta. Ja vihdoin roiman alennuksen ja siihen päälle vielä -15% alennuskoodin myötä, uskalsin tilata sen. £35,10, ei paha hinta aitoa nahkaa olevasta laukusta!
Pink moccasins, they did melt my heart a little when I first laid my eyes on them in May last year, and when they finally made it to the sale, I rushed to the store to give them a good home. They're so soft and comfy and the color just couldn't get any sweeter, so I was confident I'd wear them a lot. Like I am with every purchase. Unfortunately these babies didn't get a whole lot of wear initially, but on those warm September days I felt like I'd rediscovered them. These photos were taken on one of those days just before the cold front hit us and I left them in my drafts, waiting for the pump weather to come back before I publish them. Well, now I feel like it's about time to give up that hope and get these photos out...
The pink moccasins were also the starting point of this outfit, one morning I just had this vision of them paired with wax coated jeans and something burgundy. The edginess of the jeans and the sweetness of the shoes just creates the kind of contrast that I love. The burgundy addition was my new bag, a sale find from the summer. I'd had the bag in my saved list on ASOS for absolutely ages, and I'd been dreaming of a burgundy bag for even longer. So with a significant price reduction AND a -15% coupon code on top of that, I just couldn't resist anymore. £35.10, not a bad price for a genuine leather bag!
