En yleensä jaa blogissani tuotevinkkejä muuten kuin asujeni kautta, mutta nyt oli niin hyvä löytö, etten malta olla jakamatta! Nimittäin tämä cocoon-mallinen villakangastakki.
Hommahan meni niin, että poikkesin H&M:lle aikeenani katsella hattuja. Heti astuessani sisään huomasin mallinuken päällä todella hyvännäköisen tummanharmaan cocoon-takin. Katselin ympärilleni, että josko niitä takkeja olisi jossain rekissä, niin voisin katsoa tarkemmin. Ja siinähän niitä oli, "takki 29,99€" kyltin alla. Totesin mielessäni, että "jaahas, sellainen polyesterikammotus". Vilkaisin silti pesulappua ja hyvä, etteivät silmät pudonneet päästä silkasta hämmästyksestä. 51% villaa. 51% villaa kolmellakympillä!! Hyvä jos samalla hinnalla saa akryylineuleen.
Ketjukaupoissa vastaavanlaisista takeista pyydetään helposti seitsemästäkympistä satasen paremmalle puolelle, vaikkeivät ne olisi luonnonkuituja nähneetkään. Kävin huvikseni katsomassa H&M:n nettikaupassa, että tämän halvempaa takkia ei sieltä edes löytynyt ja muut saman hintaiset olivat luokkaa lyhyt tikkitakki polyesteriä, puuvillainen farkkutakki, ja lyhyistä polyester"villakangas"takeistakin pyydettiin neljästä kympistä ylöspäin.
Pienin jäljellä oleva koko oli 40, seuraavana päivänä toisessa H&M-liikkeessä sentään 36, mutta vieläkin olisi saanut olla kokoa pienempi. En siis ainakaan vielä saanut cocoon-takkia itselleni, mutta käykääpä ihmeessä kurkkaamassa lähi-H&M:nne, jos vaikka teillä olisi parempi tuuri oman koon löytymisen suhteen!
Onhan tuo cocoon-malli vähän siinä rajalla, että sopisiko omaan tyyliin ja mieltymyksiin... Mutta kummasti se oli alkanut kiehtoa jo ennen tätä yllätyskohtaamista. Lämpenemiseni muodottomille cocoon-takeille alkoi oikeastaan viime kevättalvesta, kun näin Cittarin kassajonossa siron aasialaispiirteisen naisen, joka näytti ihan mielettömän chiciltä harmaassa cocoon-takissaan. Ja kyllä tuolla hinnalla ja materiaalilla olisin voinut heittäytyä hieman harkitsemattomaksi ja kokeilla pääsisinkö itse cocoon-takissa samalle chicin asteelle!
I usually don't share product recommendations with you, other than what you see in my outfits, but this find was so good that I just couldn't not share! It's this cocoon-shaped wool blend coat.
And this is how the story went... I popped into H&M to look at some hats. As soon as I walked in I noticed this very good looking dark grey cocoon coat on a mannequin. I looked around to see if the coat is somewhere near so I could take a closer look. And there they were, underneath the "coat 29,99€" sign. "Just another horrible polyester mess then" I thought to myself. But still took a look at the wash label and my jaw nearly dropped. 51% wool. 51% wool for three tenners!! You can hardly get an acrylic sweater for that.
Similar coats on the high street easily cost from 70 euros up to over a hundred, even without a trace of natural fibre in them. I actually clicked myself onto H&M online for research purposes and there isn't one coat there that is cheaper than this and the others of the same price were on the lines of polyester quilted jacket, cotton denim jacket, and those short polyester "wool-blend" coats were from 40€ upwards.
The smallest available size was 40, on the next day at another store location I managed to find 36, but even that should have been a size smaller. Alas, no cocoon coat for me. But if you're looking for one, check out your nearest H&M to see if you're lucky enough to find your size!
I'm slightly on the fence with the cocoon shape though, whether it'd actually fit my style and aesthetic preferences... But it has started to feel strangely attractive even before this H&M find. I actually started warming up to the shapeless cocoon coats around March when at the supermarket I saw this lady with delicate Asian features who oozed every bit of effortless chic in her cocoon coat. And for that price and material, I would have been willing to ditch my restraints and see if with a cocoon coat I would be able to match that level of chic!
